Tim,
It is the one with 2 raised dots. Just moving over the circuit board should not affect the operation.

Thanks Doge and SirLotus. I bought the car as salvage without a fob. I've been starting it with the PIN ever since. That gets a little old. I've tried 3-4 times to program the new fob with no joy. I think I was using the 1-dot button, so hopefully this will do the trick. What exactly does this line in the instructions mean?

"IGNITION MUST BE ON AND THE ALARM OFF"

I think the wires to the alarm horn have been cut. I strongly suspect this car was a stolen recovery.

How do I know if the alarm is off? Doesn't entering the PIN do that?

The alarm is off if the lights or horn do not activate after opening a door. The immobilizer is off if the car will start or the tachometer security light is not flashing. The PIN will deactivate the security system. In order to program the ignition needs to be on and the system off. If the alarm siren wires have been cut, a trouble signal will be generated by multiple flashing of the security light.

The horn doesn't work at all. But I just read that this isn't all that uncommon. No lights flashing or horn honking when the doors are opened. No multiple flashing of the security light.

The car starts fine after the pin is entered but as soon as you remove the key and exit the car it immobilizer resets. Is there any way to just turn the dang thing off completely? Car theft is almost non-existent where I live.

Look in my signature for alarm programming instructions on how to disable automatic immobilizer arming.

I'd like to buy one of these also. The one in your picture. Is this the recessed version or the $30 version?

Unfortunately this fob with the Lotus emblem is no longer being manufactured.
My new stock arriving in a few weeks will be the identical design, however, with the Cobra emblem instead. Price will be $32 shipped.
Please PM me if interested so that I may gauge order volume.

That's no good! The Lotus emblem ones looked OEM! These are still much better than the oem ones by miles though.

Almost done making mine a complete key!

Michael,
Any way we can arrange a group buy to get cobra (or whoever) to manufacture a new batch w the Lotus emblem?
So disappointed I missed out on that.

I don't care for it. If that's all that's going to be available, I would opt for just the Cobra logo.
