Skid Plate Dispute

My LT reputation is VERY important to me therefore I am publishing a copy of an e-mail I sent to the unnamed customer;

I am shocked that you opened up a Paypal dispute.
If you had read my sales thread, you would have seen that the plates were exactly as described. Your mechanic is totally wrong that they will rip off, mine have been on for 8 years as I had informed you.
Additionally, I had willingly offered for you to return them for a refund, why open a dispute, I don't understand.
I have sold hundreds of these over a period of 8 years, and only get compliments regarding their. efficiently and how they saved damage to the car.
My reputation on LT is unblemished and I hold customer service to a very high standard.
Your have now missed out on great protection.

Michael

I know Michael (SirLotus) personally and he is honest as you can get, 100% honest; he would never rip off anybody. Case closed.

I basically RODE THE NOSE of my Evora for 3 feet on a bad sloping driveway. I though the whole front clam had ripped off. When got out to inspect, the only thing I saw were a whole bunch of shallow, superficial linear scrapes on the skidplates. The clam was as perfect as the day I got it.

Those plates are incredible. They were glued on by the dudes at the body shop that plastidipped my car, and they are on for good. That and the difflow diffuser, awesome additions to an awesome car. This dude who opened the dispute is a fool, as is his so-called "mechanic."

Neither is likely an engineer.

Why not give a refund if (when) they return the parts?
Or did you not expect to have the 1 in 100 customers that are a PitA?

Interestingly enough, this was for use on an Evora and the gentleman thought that they would not provide protection and were not as described.

paypal is a total scam,lucky he didnt claim "unauthorised transaction " and just get a refund and keep the part ,or send the item back as an empty envelope and get a refund that way

dont stress,just get on with business,youll always get some jerk who thinks it doesnt meet their standards

I just glued today with GE silicone caulk mine to my 2005 Elise. SirLotus is a standup member and I would gladly vouch for him based on our transaction.
