The VF is nice, I have seen it on a local car, and looks great, but I disagree with you. I have had my Arqray + decat for 3 years, and LOVE it.

Just a quick note about this exhaust. I got it very quickly (thanks Jermaine) and it looked great out of the box. Nice even welds, the can is a sexy chrome, aggressive tip. Fit was fine.

The sound is just great. At idle it's like stock, but has a deeper, more growly sound through the rev range. It's just louder enough than the stock note to be noticeable but nowhere is it obnoxious. There is a tiny bit of drone pretty much where the stock exhaust has it, at 3500 RPM, but it disappears under load. All in all a highly recommended exhaust.

Given the upward tilt of the tail pipe, is there an issue with water accumulation in a rainstorm?

It's not really pointed up in a manner where it will catch water. I've driven in the rain and it has been fine.

Can the tip on these pass through the hole on the eom Euro grill? My Larini SE lines up perfectly, but unfortunately has developed a nasty rattle. Is there a finite life expectancy on these since they're not repackable, our will they outlast the car?

I doubt your going to get that to work with a euro grill, plus your still going to have an open hole on the other side. It's such a nice piece, why not go with a panel delete?

I just installed the euro covers after being naked for a year. I think I prefer the oem look.

IMHO It's not going to look very OEM if you have a big empty hole on the drivers side though. It would probably come out better if you have a USDM rear grill and cut a hole in that for the VF exhaust. Lotuscupcar did this recently with a arqray exhaust and it came out awesome.

I ordered one through Harix (member) who is a VF dealer and had him also install it at his shop where lots of us SoCal guys have our Lotuses serviced.

The exhaust is beautiful and the exhaust bracket is a work of art. Too bad you won't see it after you install the whole thing.

I love the sound and it definitely is way more aggressive than some other systems. My friend has a Stage II and it is loud but not as deep or aggressive sounding.

The best part of this exhaust is when you go through a tunnel and you drop it into 2nd and rev it up. It sounds incredible with the deep reverberations echoing thoughout the whole space.

As far as long term issues, the only concern I would have is that the tip, being pretty close to the rear clam, might start cooking it a bit. I have seen ricer cars with a big black spot on the body close to the exhaust tip after it's been cooked enough. Haven't had any issues with mine for the last 2 months so we'll see. Anyone have any thoughts or experience? I only worry more because my car is white and any discoloration would be pretty obvious.

I've had mine for a few months with no problems. I did put some adhesive heat shielding on the underside of the clam, but I doubt if it's necessary.

Initially I went with the rear panel delete look too, but decided to make mine a bit more custom, so I had fabricated an aluminum piece that still retains an open look and shows off the exhaust but looks a little more finished. Here are a couple of pics.

I never liked the aftermarket licens plate holders that the exhaust manufacturers supplied, and I don't see the point of a nice exhaust hiding behind the stock valence, so my effort was to combine the best of both worlds.

Anyways, the VF exhaust is highly recommended both for form and function.
