Garage
Yeah, I saw that posted on several sites earlier today:

Also found another picture of it posted here:

I was amused by the two comments:
"LOL, your car is made from plastic. Guess where that comes from..."
"lol your tires are made from oil"

Thing about the 'LOL OIL' plate is make sure the Tesla doesn't break down, or run out of juice.

Otherwise AAA might send a tow truck with a 'LOL ELEC' plate.

Or maybe tell you to wait until they have a fleet of electric tow trucks...

I shutter at the notion that one day there will be just electric cars on the road... Something about the grunts and growls of internal combustion

The end of internal combustion engines is far from gone. Its working on the same principle as the old west horses, everyone had a horse to travel around with, well there are still horses and some people still use them to travel 100 years later. Cars will absolutly be different in a few years, but gasoline will still be around for the enthusiast for quite some time. I would love to get an electric car to drive back and forth to work with, and still have my gasoline sports car for the weekend track days, cruising around etc. Thats just MHO.

You only get one time around in life, if your not enjoying what your doing, why do it at all? Enjoy every second like it was your last, you never know!
Oh yeah and drive it like you stole it!

I fly rc planes and helicopters and this gas vs. electric arguements has been going on for a few years. If that is anything to go by, we'll end up in two camps. Those who swear by gasoline, and then those who are pure electric. In that hobby, typically those who are just starting out will go electric only, and in general the gas die-hards are those who grew up with gasoline (and like loud noises).

Had a pleasant surprise today in HB. I thought there was another orange Evora across the intersection. I blinked him as I made my U-turn. I slowed to allow him to catch up up to me and it turned out to be a Tesla.. My gal rolled down her window to say hi to the occupants, a young guy with a pretty girl (of course!). We both complemented on our color choice

Anyway, I went straight and he turned left, at which point I noticed his plate to read LOL OIL..

I would have considered the Tesla but my current residence is rather prohibitive for electric vehicles. Visually the Tesla Roadster was quite striking, although it lacked the roof line which integrates other design flow elements better.. The Evora's flowing lines, especially towards the rear end is unmatched.
