Elise

Used to have 05 LRG.

For an elise to entice me...

I want all of the minimum track goodies already installed. I may be flexible on color. I favor NA

2006 Lotus Sport Elise (#12 of 50). It doesn't get anymore track ready from Lotus and NA than this.

A home purchase is dragging on far too long. I plan on finalizing Car transaction and pickup in mid to late January.

I am looking at probably getting a 2005 Elise

Must have:
Toe link upgrade
Baffled oil pan

Desirable:
Engine mount upgrade
CF seats and harnesses
Battery addressed
Clam hinge, radium clam kit
Upped suspension/brakes
Etc.

My price range will depend on how much bonuses cars have.

Still here... about to pull the trigger unless someone has one that they have not listed yet. I already paid for track time in March... just need the car now.

Most likely needs to be Black/silver/lotus racing green

As a note:

Toe link upgrade
Baffled oil pan

Can be installed in a few hours, don't turn down a car if this not installed already, you can always do it yourself. Specially if you want a low miles car or with few owners.
SS Lotus Elise likes this.

Thanks,

I've found my next car. I'll make a post in a month or two to thank the seller and show it off a bit.

Day 1, minute 5:

Almost got nuked from the rear from a moron on his cell phone as I was correctly preparing to change lanes.

In the 6 years since I last drove an elise, the worlds attention span has been drastically reduced.

After I catch my breath and get around to detailing it I'll post some happy pictures.

If you have street motorcycle experience, you will recognize the required survival skills.

Simply put, you a) know that if physics will allow a vehicle to make a boneheaded move, you should assume that it will, and b) use the greater agility of the Elise to arrange to be elsewhere when it does.

I've observed on both cars and bikes that if you're going faster than most traffic, it means potential dangerous actions to you are all in front of you, which is easier to see and easier to avoid.

Of course, the fact that it's also fun to drive the car faster doesn't hurt...

Thanks to the both of you.

I dont have motorcycle experience, but I do have a road BIcycle. People don't pay attention to uncommon things. My previous lotus was when I lived in SW Fort Worth which is much less populated than here in SE Houston. I will do what I can to keep the Elise safe AND still enjoy it.
