WTB - Driver Quality Elise

Looking for a car I won't stress about putting miles on. Ideally something in the 20's, probably 50k+/- miles, good maintenance history with a few visual issues. Scuffed wheels? Cool. Scraped up clamshell? No worries. Factory supercharged would be awesome, NA is fine. Hard top preferred but not required. Located in Idaho, let me know what you've got!

Hi

Mine isn't quite in the price range you're looking for but frankly that's quite a tall order for an Elise. You're probably looking at a salvage title, or much higher miles, or something that's got some major mechanical issues being left to a buyer for an Elise in the $20k range.

Here's mine if you're interested, willing to negotiate.

Most of the Elises have a few scrapes on the underside of the clamshell so that's not going to save you much. Same with the wheels. What you describe is still a low $30k, high $20k car imho, especially with a clean title, more if it has a factory SC and a hardtop.

Your best bet is to check out Wire Wheel in Florida. Their prices are reasonable and they are one of the few vendors I'd buy a rebuilt title from.

FWIW I should be driving an 05 home Friday. The "20's" in my original post seems to be making people think ~$20k, I should have specified that I'm fine in the 27-29k range and that's where I ended up.

I didn't think that, and started to post, but I would have just agreed with the other members that your expectations were unrealistic. I hope everything works out for you and you're happy with your new toy.

I've come to be happy with a new toy, but as I grow older my happiness doesn't last as long. My Exige is 8.5 years old, older than any other toy I've ever owned. An 02 WRX and 07 C6 each lasted 8 years. I have no plans to sell the Exige soon. It waits in the back of the garage, behind 3 liter bikes. I washed it last weekend as it was dusty. I polished it, took some pictures and put it away for another day. These really are special cars. I hope yours is as special to you.

Welcome to the club, and before anyone else says it, pictures or it didn't happen.
