I often think of you Californians here as I post these. Lack of reasonably priced land and basements really does limit your garage potential.

I suppose this is God's way of getting you back for all the gloating you do about your fine weather.

I will consider that. Sucks for sure. Spent most of the day today at the beach playing sand volleyball. Nice to see bikinis in January. Oh well...

Oh yeah! Well I spent two hours with a pick ax chiseling frozen horse manure out of the compacted snow and hauling it through two feet of snow across our property to the poo pile, all after spending an hour shoveling out the horse trailer. So I guess that answers the question who is most humble....or not.

Sure seems that way, bragging about the horse trailer and the size of the poo piles

Surely this guy wins the award for the cleanest and tidiest working garage.

There's the key. 800 sq ft of storage space (plus 1k of finished space) in my basement means all the crap stays in the basement, and out of my garage. And no ugly water heater in my garage, either.

Because I live in an area with cold winters and hot summers, I wanted a way to control temps.

The garage is heavily insulated (even the Wayne-Dalton doors have foam insulation and anti-leak contruction); I calculated that a 2-ton unit would cool the garage adequately. I chose the most efficient mini split unit I could find. From Daikin, it installed very nicely, and is extremely quiet.

He's currently (even though the camera says 2003) building a kit car called an RCR Superlight Coupe. Pretty cool!

So the white 2-tone unit is a heater and a/c>? never seen one like that before.

His garage is just unbelievable. my mechanic for 10 yrs is very neat. he looks dirty compared to that kind of organization. talk about never wondering for a tool.

Here's pics of half my garage. I use it for storing my "mostly completed projects" and tinkering on the cars when I want a really clean environment. I've got a 3500sq ft "work garage" with the lift and such for getting really down and dirty.

I'm lucky that my wife is willing to live with me in a 6500 sq ft warehouse that used to be a rural auto dismantling yard.

The Lotus is hers, by the way.
