Wow, I would do that except I am afraid with all the earthquakes here, the post would just shake around and shift as it jumps on the tiles.

Anyone done any measuring to see what the minimum clearance is to have a lift with the Elise as one of the tiers? I want to put a lift in the garage but it seems like my rolling door garage cuts off the headroom quite a bit.

I live LA, the rack is bolted through the flooring into the slab. So no problem there. I have and Elise and Evora plus a 1965 E-type that go on my rack. I have 9 1/2 ' clearance, I don't think tjat you csn go with less than 9'.
As for your roll up door. I had a garage door company raise the track so it is only about 6" from the ceiling. That raised the track by about 12", it is has high as they could make it. They cahrged me about $250.00

Sorry to be a debbie downer bit leave those vents blocked off if you ever plan on starting you car in the garage, door open or not.
i am planning on enclosing and airconditioining my car port this summer.
i thought about running a duct out to the garage. how can fumes recirculate into the house when it is only an "exit" duct? the "entry" duct with the filter is inside the house and there is a door closing the garage off. thanks for your advice.

I'd love to put a 2 post lift in my garage but with only a 9ft ceiling it would be nearly useless on anything other than the Lotus. My truck for example is close to 7ft tall.

So... 2 days of obsessing about my garage now. Debating how to finish the floor. Acid wash, tile, race deck, pergo... what to do... and the shelves... need to clean it up.

A few grand is not a bad investment.
