This is so NOT right having to post 5 unnecessary posts just so you can participate in this website!

Agree. I run an exotic motorcycle forum and what I did to combat the same issue of spammers is each new member has to write a few sentences on why they want to join the community and which bike/model they own. Problem solved....

Not sure about you, but I, or the staff doesnít have the time to dedicate to go through each new individual registration to verify info. Not sure if you have seen how many members the forum has or not, but, none of us have that kind of time to dedicate to the forum, especially since we are all volunteers.

Would you rather see all the spam posts and links in all sections of the forum? If you have an easier way to help combat the spammers, please enlighten us. Maybe we kind of like people to be part of the community before being able to sell things? Not trying to be an ass, but you are acting like making 5 posts around the forum is a big deal. I could understand the frustration if it was maybe 50 or 100 posts.

Or, for that matter, if you just want to sell parts and don't want to participate on the forum in any other way, just put them up on ebay or craigslist. No reason to advertise them here.

I agree with Doge, this forum is not just a marketplace, it is also a Lotus Community.

Iím not a scammer, Iím not a noob. Iím not even a Lotus guy, just a car guy/racer. I only came here because while researching a topic I came across posts on forum members needing help, which I found something they were looking for. My first post went through ok, after that Iím hung up on admin approval. You canít get to 5 posts if theyíre stuck waiting on someone to finally get around to it. I canít pm anyone because I donít have 5 posts. I only came here to help your members, but youíre making it so difficult that itís almost not worth the bother. Good intentions, bad results. Itís not my intention to be rude or complain; this is just the truth of the situation and you should be aware of it.

Yeah, I canít even PM an admin or contact anyone in anyway, or at least itís not ready visible on how to do so. Not everyone is a bright green noob or dirtbag spammer. This is not thought through well at all.

How long is the average wait time to get your posts approved? I think I'm sitting on day 4.
