Finaly git my teenage poster car...

Hello everyone,

I just acquired my first Lotus, a car inhave dreamed about and wanted since the early 90's.

I bought a white 1993.5 MY Esprit SE. This is the only white '93.5 made for Canada. 5 were build for import, two black, two red and one white car.

I am super excited for spring to come so I can start driving this car. Right now it is snuggled in my garage with my two Ducatis. And I know once summer comes it will be difficult in deciding which toy gets road time for each day LOL.

I was lucky enough to come across this car with only 24,000 miles and in showroom all original condition.

In Spring I plan on upgrading the exhaust to a Quiksilver system and possibly putting the wheels away and swapping them out for slightly larger ones. I have tossed around the idea stop putting Sport 300 fender extensions on however I am not sure at this point if I want to permanently alter the car in any way.

I'm an active member of my local Ducati club and forum and hope to find similar resources and opportunities with any local Lotus clubs, however, I have not been able to find anything locally for the Toronto area at this point.

Anyways, enough babbling LOL. I've attached some pictures of the car.

Cheers,

Welcome.
I know the feeling even if my posters were technically of a Porsche 959 (proud of that one) and Ferrari Testarossa (wish it wasn't true).

The 93.5 has always been one of my favorite Esprit models, just needs S4 wheels with spacers (make sure you get both front and rear) from PUK or SJ to finish it off...

Congratulations on what looks to be a great example...

Congratulations. I am a former owner of a black over black 93.5. I don't believe those Revolutions came from the factory with white centers, they should be painted charcoal unless yours was a one off.

Congrats, my poster car was also a Esprit. Purchased a 1999 back in 2010, couldn’t sleep for days waiting for it to arrive. Unfortunately only had for one year, sold to start a business. Now I’m sleepless waiting for my Exige to arrive. No selling this time !!!

Great car!

Make sure that maintenance is up-to-date, before spring. (Thinking timing belt, with its 2 - 3 year interval, if black)

If you are in Toronto, you are not that far from Lotus, Ltd's LOG (Lotus Owners Gathering) in Massachusetts this August.

That is the plan, along with Quicksilver exhaust system, larger turbo, ECU flash and bov.

I will check those out for the wheels, thanks.

You are absolutely correct, they were the charcoal grey but were painted white by the previous owner. While I like them, I am going to go to larger factory wheels.

I am just east of Toronto. Thank you for the info, I am going to check that out for sure. I have joined a local British Car club and going to a show soon in Port Perry.

The belts were done just last year and changed to the blue ones
