New owner in WI - 1988 Esprit Turbo

After a year and a half of searching, I finally found what I hope to be the perfect Esprit for me. #54 of 88 Commemorative Edition. Many thanks to Northshore Autosports in Lake Bluff IL. Being my first such purchase, it gave me peace of mind going through a dealership (and a British car boutique dealership, at that) rather than an individual. Apparently this is one of the cleanest (for its age) they've seen, and affirmed by a few local Lotus aficionados.

Not too many of these in the midwest. I enjoyed taking it to a car show this past weekend. For most, it was the first one they had seen in person.

Welcome! Congrats on a beautiful car!
I'm north of Milwaukee a bit. Hope to see it out and about sometime.
There is a drive going on not too far from you this weekend. Check out the midwest forum below. I'm going to try to make it, not 100% yet.
I'll be in a black exige if I do go.

Very nice!

Make sure you review all service history, and if it's been awhile since the belts (esp timing) were done you'll want those changed. Soon.

Oh...and how much were they asking for the red Europa in the background?

Congrats on the purchase!!! Timeless looking cars IMO. Glad to see another Lotus in the area. Lots of shows coming up. Here is a great list another member posted for easier viewing;

My faves are probably Iron Gate Motor Plaza and Supercar Saturdays every month. Hope to see you around. Enjoy and drive safe!

WELCOME!

Did you get the original 15" OZ wheels with the car, too? (I see them in the listing) The ones in the pic are from an S4 (which it is easier to find tires for).

The VIN number is 10 higher than a Commemorative '88 owned by a local guy @frank928 (and, 9 cars newer than ours).
