Newbie in Cleveland checking in for the first time

Just took delivery of a graphite gray Elise SC (all options except sport pack) a few days ago after months of waiting to pull the trigger, and years of lustful drooling.

I won't post pix since you all know what it looks like. I'm waiting for the snow to melt and some rain to wash away the salt before I take it out. I have to be content for the time being to sit in the garage and stare.

Anyone know if the "Coffee and Cars" meetings in Cleveland will be resuming in the spring?

Anyway, hello everyone!

Cleveland Cars and Coffee

First off, congrats on the purchase. Get that car out of the garage and have some fun!
Second, it looks like the cars and coffee is going to pick up again on memorial day weekend judging from the posts here and on the ferrari form.

Hey Clevo peeps!

Good to hear from you. Being new to the Lotus "community" I wondered if Lotus owners were the "friendly" sort.

I'm a west sider (Ricky Rover). I received a message from Rod regarding the annual meeting at Winking Lizard Sunday and depending upon issues with my kids.

I've never participated in "Cars and Coffee" with my pre-Lotus cars but plan to show up the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I believe it's held at Quay 55 north of the cleveland shoreway off east 55th (does LeBron really live there?).

Most of the CAL (Cleveland Area Lotus) guys are "Order" Lotus cars, not too many Elise and Exige Owners, I went to a few of their events back 2 years ago...

I looked at a place in Quay 55 as I know someone who lives there, When I was looking I asked about the Lebron story and was told "He stayed here for a few months while his place was being finished up. He didnt have the best penthouse as most people are saying"

If your board and want to get out on a nice day for a drive...a few of us run up at mid ohio. Our first outing is April 10-11 with the NASA group. I think a couple columbus loti owners may come up to watch the races and HPDE portion. If it's nice we usually do a little bbq or something.

Welcome!

Hi Greg,
Welcome to the Cleveland group.

I'm on the other side of town, Kirtland in Lake County.

A bunch of us get together every once in a while, Cory1000 and Newhouse, among others.

Starting to be semi-regulars at the NORA Autocross events. (web site: NORARacing.net - Welcome to the Northern Ohio Racing Association!) Season starts in April.

Hope to see you around.

Regards,
Wayne

Cleveland area Lotus club annual meeting

Thanks for having us today! It was fun to meet everyone and signing up as a member. I'm looking forward to participating in the British car shows and driving events.

I was just bummed I didn't get to see everyone's car. You guys have more self discipline than me. I HAD to drive this thing after a couple days of salt washing rain!

I'll be checking C A Lotus.com to see what's up first for spring.
