And Ferrari were also selected by Pirelli for a tire testing session prior to Mercedes event and they also improved their cars performance right after the Pirelli testing. Anyway, it's legit to F1 regulations and Ferrari's protest is like the pot calling the kettle black.

But Monaco is a low load track, no high speed high load corners to eat up those tires ... so it's not really a surprise that Mercedes (or any team) were good on tires. I think Mercedes will return to "normal" tire wear come next event on a real race track rather than a parade track.

IMHO, Monaco should be taken off the schedule ... if folks want to see Monaco, watch the Travel channel or better just hop on a flight to NICE.

No worries, Monaco brings good money to F1 ... Bernie LOVES money, so your fantasy will stay alive.

Thanks! Guess 10th isn't so bad then!

Yeah, I really hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. It just seemed like Kimi couldn't get the car to work in the wet.

Not a great race for Lotus. I was really impressed with Rogro though! It's a shame his tire strategy didn't work out, and at least Kimi scored some points. Does anyone know what the crowd was chanting during Seb's interveiw?

did they show the ground crew getting hit by the crane as it backed up? Just read this morning that the guy died from his injuries from getting run over. Was near the end of the race. I remember seeing the crane come over to the car, but I don't remember what happened after as I had guests over and not fully paying attention.

Unfortunate since I was watching Senna this weekend and researched all the fatalities in F1. Some really horrible ones. Probably Price's was the worst.

They showed the crane moving up to the car, but nothing beyond that; that is terrible, from the f1 site it is stated that he dropped his phone, reached fro it and tripped as the crane was backing up.

Those of us at the race didn't get any info about this incident. As we were walking along the track after the race we saw various cranes and tow vehicles carrying wrecked cars from F1, touring cars, and Formula 1600 buzzing by people really close on the track as we were picking up souvenier clag and car bits. Strange to think that one of those vehicles probably ran over that guy. Sad day for F1 at such a beautiful event with a giant crowd.

I was impressed with the overwhelming number of fans with Lotus wear. Usually Ferrari fans dominate with their gear but there were almost as many Lotus-clad fans in Montreal. Beautiful city, awesome track, great race. It's clear why so many F1 drivers have such high praise for this race, the city and the fans there. Looking forward to going back next year.

I think it is good news for the team that 35% of team has been sold to Abu Dhabi and interests. Not sure of this Mansoor Ijaz character of Crescent Investment Management Ltd hedge fund, while he grew up in US has some weird State Department, Pakistan military and CIA connections.

Who cares what he does as a spook. As long as he keeps the team financed, I'm o.k. with any side covert shenanigans!

The last ten laps of the British Grand prix is about to be very wild. Don't miss it!

Definite choke on the team's part for not bringing Kimi in on the last Safety car sequence. It would have at least guaranteed a podium, if not contention for the win. I still see the weekend as progress, but he needs another podium asap.

On a different note, I can see the Silverstone fans share my love for Seb.

"OUR" love for Seb

The high point of the race for me was when his gearbox quit. I cheered out loud.
