He's just a complete A-hole for overtaking his teammate in a past race after the team told him to hold their positions. Ever since then I really dislike Vettel and find myself rooting for Webber.

I would have been quite happy to watch a Brit win on the home track.

Same here, I did a great impression of Seb by yelling at the tv "yes, yes, yes!!!" Gotta love those UK fans, they definitely let him know where he stands with them.

Stupid, stupid race. except when Vettel gearbox took a sh*t and the crowd cheered. That was good. Not good was the idiot stopping on the main straight instead of the runoff area the turn before as he obviously had the gearbox issue. Bringing out the SC.

Idiots... I watched the race late and didn't know what lap he came in the 2nd time, but he asked the team and team say stay out. Was real fun watching him get passed by 3 cars the last 8 laps.

Well, it looks like everyone here pretty much said everything I wanted to say.

Here's an interesting clip from Axis Of Oversteer: Everything You Need To Know About the 2013 British GP

So it is Pirelli's fault? Track's fault? Drivers' fault? or is it "it's just racing"?

I set my DVR to record the race and NBC Sports Center (or whatever they call their show) came on first and showed Rossberg as the winner saying the race just ended! THEN they went into the broadcast of the race. Did this happen to anybody else? Was there not a live feed?

Don't know if RoGro had a blowout as well, but I doubt. I think they would have showed that or at least mentioned it after the race.

I'm still so disappointed that Kimi and the team pissed away 2nd for 5th.

Same thing happened to me! I almost didn't watch the race because I saw who one. I'm glad I did though!

Live feed was on CNBC, I double & triple checked Tivo's guide data to make sure, precisely to avoid what you experienced.

Still I don't think it would take much to give viewers a spolier alert heads-up.

Especially since practice and qualifying was on NBCsports.

NBC sports scheduling has been terrible. The don't repeat races that much either. It was way better on Speed.

Yeah I got up on Saturday morning to watch Qualy, and then they were showing TdF instead. Apparently they were showing a live stream on the internet, but failed to get the word out effectively on it.

I have never liked the Pirellis, so I'm feeling a bit vindicated now, justifiably angry. I started having flashbacks to USGP '05. Actually that whole season had severe issues due to the stupid "no tyre changes" rule. I am really wondering if they are going to change anything by this weekend for the German GP. The teams that vetoed the new tyre construction in the first place have apparently changed their minds now in light of the safety concerns, but five days is not a lot of time to get something done.

I am also triple-super-disappointed that Kimi didn't podium, because I had some friends show up at my place at the tail end of the race, and wanted them to see how awesome he is in interviews.

pirelli just does what the FIA tells them to do.... fia say "build a crap tire to make for better spectator racing" so they build a crap tire, and this is what happens..." i wouldn't say its exactly Pirellis "fault" they just do what they are spec'd to do.

fia needs to pull its head out it arse and make a relevant and sensible formula.

Looks like Pirelli is changing steel belted tires to kevlar belted ones to shut the complainers up.
They did say, however, that the reason for blowouts were mostly by the teams running the tires in a matter it wasn't intended for. Underinflation, running the tires the wrong direction, etc. In the case of Silverstone, the serrated curb design and irregular track surface at the exit of Becketts were the contributing cause of the whole fiasco...
