That was a bullsh*t race. Romain was raped twice and Hamilton got away with the same infraction. What a load of sh*t. After watching Senna, I can see what he's talking about when referring to politics. Peep this: Romain was doing quite well before the penalties (chasing Hamilton) and he gets brought back down. Next, Kimi finished 2nd when Hamilton was 1st. Now if Hamilton was penalized, Kimi would have likely won.
2 strikes against Lotus. The team should file a protest.

The sad part is that politics is 85% of F-1. Since F-1 is the varsity game, there is not much that you can do about it. I was going to say that in no other sport can you post official results for a race and then change the results afterwards…then you have to remember Lance Armstrong’s situation. They stripped him of his medals and then would not issue them to anybody else because they were all guilty of the same drug use. So who wins in this situation? They all played by the same rules (technology) of that time. Now 10 years later, technology has improved and they all got caught, they still took his titles away from him. It just goes to show that if you put the French in charge of something, they will cock it up!

Well, at least RoGro retained sixth even after the 20 sec penalty, but boy do I feel sorry for him. It would have been fantastic to see him win the race. Oh well, at least Kimi took second. He surpassed Alonso in the driver's championship and is second behind Vettel.

Odds Kimi returns to Lotus next year? I really hope he does, Lotus F1 has a great driver in Kimi and a great young up and comer in Romain. If the team can stay afloat financially I think they are in great position to do really good things in the near future!

It must have been brutally hot. I noticed that the pit stops were all over 3 seconds in the later part of the race.

If Lotus could have turned out a 2.6 rather than a 3.6 second stop for RoGro he would have come out ahead of Ferrari.

this truth can not be argued with!

Grosjean was the faster Lotus driver on Sunday, but he was unfairly penalized for simply racing F1 style - giving no quarters and expecting none. Webber put all four wheels off the track towards the end in a similar racing situation at the entry of the straight without a peep from the marshals. Kimi also drove a great race and kept P2 even though Vettle had a faster car.

I hope Kimi goes to RB. Lotus lost James Allison and doesn't have the money for him. Better he get the funding and we see what Vettel is made of!

F-1 does not call them Official final results, they are still conditional at the end of the race.

Only faster at that stage due to fresher tires; but Kimi did an admirable job to keep Seb behind him. Seb wrote it off later by saying I tried to pass once but then decided to not risk points.

Why would any former F1 champ want to race along side Vettel knowing they'd be 2nd. Knowing all the BS he pulled on Webber. No thanks. Plus Kimi will have to do all the PR stuff he doesn't like to do. With Lotus he does whatever he wants. He has a good teammate and the car isn't that far off. Obviously it's in contention most races, otherwise he wouldn't be 2nd in points.

Kimi wouldn't be number 2 if he moves to RB. I would be surprised if he makes the move. Funny that the Ferrari ride isn't talked about much. I, too, would like to see a drive give SV a consistent challenge. Kimi's personality along with SV alway's getting his way in the previous seasons in regards to his teammate would be amusing to watch.

Grosjean being penalized reminds me of Hamilton 2-3 years ago when he was under the watchful eye for every maneuver. Grosjean was being aggressive as he should be and he was wrongfully penalized. Very inconsistent unfortunately. Most other would not have been and were not penalized.

I enjoyed SV comment at the end when asked about his race comment of not enough room by Kimi when he said Kimi just laughed. I wonder how the other driver (forgot who it was) got squeezed to the edge of the road by SV at the start. He sure is quick to whine!

Go Lewis!

1) More $ than Lotus could ever pay him.
2) A chance to drive the best car.
3) A chance to go out on top (not many years left).

1) money is not everything. Perks, etc.
2) it's supposedly the best car for this season. Rule changes and new regs can change that. Which will happen next season with new motor (among others, I'm sure).
3) he's 32? He has plenty of time left.

If you're happy where you are, you stay. There's a reason they say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Well he's already retired once!
I think we're all delusional to think/ hope/ pray that if (when) Kimi gets the offer to go to Red Bull that he's not gonna take it. No one hopes I'm wrong more than me, btw.

Kimi is congenitally allergic to BS. He will stay or go based on getting the best results with a minimum level of everything else he hates. He's worked with Newey, a plus. But really, he's enjoying himself at Lotus, and he's got the front-end of that car working so well now.

I don't care who he drives for, as long as we get to see him drive.

Kimi pulls fastest dry time at Spa between FP and Q runs, unfortunately Q3 was in rain leaving him in P8 and Grosjean in P7, ahead of the two Ferrari's

Yeah, I feel like the pace was there pre-rain. I'm hoping for a clean dry race tomorrow and some serious passing.
