Left the garage open for a short trip, and found this when I got back...

I left for a short trip to the hardware store, and didn't bother to close the garage with the Elise in it. When I came home, I saw Louie "The Chowhound" (Our neighbor's cat) sitting on top of the soft-top like he owned the car

He's not hurting for food, he's 17 lbs and well fed at home. He likes our brand of cat food better so he's been frequently coming by for treats. I guess he realized that sitting on the Lotus would be a good way to get my attention

This happened to me with my last Elise. A neighbor used to leave their cat out all night and it would rather sleep in a "hammock" that is insulated from the cold than on the ground. Remember that after a nap a cat likes to stretch out and this includes it's claws. No joke, since our soft tops are $600 or so.

My cat always slept on the soft top. Since I got a hard top hes migrated to the engine cover, I can't keep him off!
