My 2007 Exige S with Dealer Installed Type 72D trim

Thoughts?

Too late as I bought it and I think it is growing on me.

The tan suede has to go (where are my new teardrops!).

The car is immaculate! One old man owner before me. Still has the stock front tires with passable tread at 20k miles. Huge folder of records etc. Only issue is, I think, a pinhole leak in the radiator.

Needless to say, after nine months sans lotus, I am

Saw this on Craigslist, dirt cheap but the owner never was prompt.. Worked with him for a week before he just didn't reply.. It seemed sketchy so I backed off.. Great for you.. How are you gonna get rid of his initials on the door

Thanks!

I am pretty chuffed. I was focused on an 07 Exige S as I don't like TPMS or the full hawk (and price!) of the 08+ and to find one this nice at the right price locally and on CL was crazy.

The initials should buff off fine. I got a little bit off with a finger nail. Interwebs say polish or maybe some ez-off oven cleaner. I am waiting until it gets warmer to go at them.

He is just old fashioned and not really a phone/email guy so I can see him not wanting to deal with someone out of state. He was very honest in person and a truly meticulous car owner. To give you an idea, when I went to see it, it was under the factory lotus indoor cover and hooked up to a battery tender.

That looks fantastic. Are the raised "LOTUS" letters gold as well?

They are. I have the receipt for the letters, the install invoice, and the silver letters that were pulled off!

DON'T USE EASY OFF!!!

This stuff will remove anodization off of aluminum...I would HATE to know what that would do to your paint.

Your best way to get off the Intials is to take your time and just eaze it off. After it is all removed then use a buffer to have the paint blend into it better.

Congrats on the purchase. Glad to hear you finally found the right car. I saw that car on the Phila area CL for a while and couldn't figure out why it hadn't sold.
