Another one Dec-9-2011

Just saw this on the newspaper. Rich kit

Test 11 times with portable alcohol breath test with on result.
Fail 1 time.
So took him back to station for big alcohol breath machine but no success. What a lucky guy

This S was only on the road less than 7 days

Rear ended. Need to change the rear clam + rear sub frame. Also the front clam is gone too.

A general warning to track day novices. Many track day events don't have such expensive niceties as: EMTs, ambulance, fire truck, firefighters, tow truck/rollback... Hopefully the guy in shorts and flip flops wasn't the first responder.

What do you think is the attrition rate on an Elise / Exige percentage wise? 10% ? 15%? higher?

These little cars are so dang fragile and so many are used for track purposes that a few years from now there might not be be a dozen or so left!

To my understanding, the brake system is the same, only the hydraulic booster is electrically powered off the 12V standard car battery.
