Elise on Copart

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Back Elise that is up for auction on Copart in CO. The Vin is SCCPC11156HL31863. The damage, whilst extensive, appears to be non-structural - I think, but I'd be very interested to hear if anyone knows the history of this car.

Also is there anyone who lives in the Denver area who would be willing to go give the car a quick look-over with the eye of someone who knows these cars.

Thanks,

Ian

Is this the one with the crash structure sitting on the front clam? If so, it almost certainly is FUBAR'd

I don't think so. The crash structure seems to be in place, albeit a little chewed up at one corner.

It's hard to tell because of how bad the front clam is, but that looks to me like the crash structure has shifted. Any way you can get eyes on it before bidding? That being said, $8k is low enough that you can probably strip and cover your losses if it isn't able to be fixed.
