Never expected it to go for so much!! wow! Am I missing something here?
I saw some dealers selling some damaged Elises for $14k (and I'm sure they have profit already figured into their price)...

Darn...can't even afford a totaled Elise...pretty sad. hehe
Maybe next time.
That's even before all the junk fees the auction puts on top. Most of these have been selling for this type of money for years now. I'd bet the dealers found frame damage and just wanted out of the project you're talking about.

That's pretty crazy then!
I was thinking that "okay...it might go for $11k or maybe $12k tops" which still would be a decent deal if you fix it up and it will cost you just about 20k...not bad....you get to save some $$$ while you enjoy working on it...

But it turns out that with that price you won't save much compared to the clean title...

I'll keep on the look out for other Elises then, maybe I'll get just "lucky" one day.

The frame was good. It was almost all cosmetic damage. The *******s at USAA TOTALLY SUCKS insurance company finally paid me off on it after almost a year. It was very fixable. I figured that about ten large would fix it if you did it yourself. The body shop quote was like 23 or so.
