The 6 speed manual gear box fitted to Evora & Exige V6s is the Aisin BG6, which has a maximum torque rating of 400 NM / 295 ft lb
I guess someone needs to take the plunge and see how a Toyota E153 would fit into an Evora since people have done the Toyota V6 into Turbo MR2's and made them work?

Just a quick update.

We're doing another beta installation now. If anything, we'll have plenty of beta out there!

We're racking up miles quickly among the test cars.

Our 6 speed car is putting down 420 to the wheels (with our headers). It's glorious! The speed matches the looks for sure! The noises it makes are epically proper!

We're being conservative on the IPS cars thus far. If you're following the transmission thread, we're making great progress on making it better/stronger/faster. I really enjoy the IPS with this power. It's fun toggling back and forth among sport, "manual", and auto. The IPS version with this power so effortlessly darts up to 120 on the on-ramp . The rev matches with the blower wine are a hoot. It's not as raw as the 6 speed of course, but it's very fun all the same.

We're only running about 7 PSI boost for now. With the 1900TVS and big charge cooler with the front mounted heat exchanger that goes with it, there's plenty of room for upside. We're confident of that, but no sense in breaking our test cars (aka finding the limits!) until the more reasonable "testing" is over

Cheers,

Phil

Closer and closer to launching our Evora Chargecooler Series Blower kits... I estimate we are within a 3 week window.

Here are our 3 development mules and some pre-production pics. Our relationship with Harrop TVS blowers goes back to the beginning of the REV kits for the 2ZZ about 10 years ago. It's great to continue that relationship as we worked hard to develop this kit for the Evora, Evora S, and 400+ cars using their 1900TVS blower housing for the 2GR! I would estimate that the 400 cars will likely not pursue our BOE Evora Chargecooler Kit, but the extreme power mungers will appreciate the massive heat exchangers and the more capable 1.9L TVS rotors vs the 1.7L rotors in the 400 cars...

As you’re thinking about your car and plans, some notes:

Manual and IPS will be supported. The S and NA cars will see massive benefit in power. Beyond what I’ve posted previously, more on power delivery in later posts. IPS cars will come with an additional trans kit that fortifies the IPS trans for the power— and generally just makes it a better transmission (see the Better IPS thread I started here on LT). Boost and tuning is conservative and not an issue on the 2GR-FE at 7PSI.

Fit and finish, brackets, etc, etc are all OE or better level, IMO. No grinders or jigsaws used on our kits! lol

DIY: The installation instructions are quite complete for the DIYer and the install does NOT require clam removal However, it’s not what I would call a super easy install. Estimate a *long* weekend for the DIY and some cursing when it comes time to install the belt Flash tune completed with your laptop and email.

BOE Install: We will provide in-house installations, dyno verification, and custom tweaking of the flash tune. The tune is developed with our own BOE Fastworks software, which is the most capable tuning suite for the Lotus ECU on the planet- and by a large margin (outside of Lotus themselves of course!). Nothing else comes close to our Lotus ECU capabilities! As you can imagine, the best hardware in the world means nothing without the best software to make use of it

For installation, outside of us and yourself, many know Allen at VSA Motorsports and TJ over at Carlock (used to be at Gator). They are super certified for these installations and have already been briefed on the install, labor estimates, familiar with uploading the tunes, verification, etc, etc…

Kris at DRS (CA), Ryan at Ferrari of Denver, or Frank at Concours Cars in Colorado Springs would be a couple other great places to look for installation as well. I’m sure there are many others as well.

Personal Note: This system makes the Evora go as fast as it looks. I have to say the blower looks right at home in the engine bay too and especially so looking through the glass (although that's hard to get a good pic of). I'll get some better photos of production parts, which are on the white car on the lift, but the main difference is that brackets/etc are all nicely wrinkle finished and the air-filter is sealed from the engine bay to aid in appearing at OE as possible (and help with keep the intake cooler).

Cheers,

Phil

Pricing for the Evora NA Kit is going to be about 12,500.

Where the S conversions will be a little less as they have the needed idler pulley system already on the motor.

I will say, the most time intensive part about the conversion is the installation of the idler pulleys (which serves as the belt side motor mount as well).

Here's the final power tune on the IPS Evora with STOCK HEADERS and straight through muffler (2.5" ID muffler we make).

Aiming to release this month still. We're waiting on some final production parts at this stage.

Cheers,

Phil

PS- AGAIN, this IS with STOCK HEADERS. IPS CAR. Baseline on this car was about 220whp... We're now about 400whp on 91 pump gas. The 396 pull was after loading the motor up for a while using the Eddy Brake on our dyno...

Any hope that the charge cooler fits on the stock supercharger for S guys who don't want to upgrade to the 1900?

It doesn't work that way and you wouldn't want it to even if it did. The little 1320 is just too small for the application. There's not enough headroom in the blower to pass through a proper cooler. It gets a bit complex to explain, but it's the way that it is. The blower itself is only a small part of the entire kit so you wouldn't really be saving yourself much even if what you proposed was possible--- which it is 100% not possible.

We have the webpage updated for the kit now. Welcome to check it out!

Hope that helps!

Just a friendly bump. We've done several installs now and the kits are just glorious.

For the IPS cars, the shift kits have gone over really well both with and without the blowers.

We've developed additional aids to keep the engine bay cool which is really important on ALL Evoras. You can find here:
