HANS + Airbag = Safe?

Does this equate to a double negative somehow?

I hear an airbag is bad news for your jaw if you wear a full face.

Has anyone tested this out yet?

i dunno if there is a definitive answer but my gut feeling says I'd rather the hans stop my head. I also think the result could be worse if your head hit the air bag with no HANS.

Having HANS means you already have a harness which alone would keep you from slamming into the airbag but HANS further reduces head movement in case of a collision, so when your airbag goes off, you'll just watch it pop from a couple of inches. I found some videos a while back where you can see it happen.

Attila, do you remember where you found the videos?
I've been thinking along the same lines you did, but I'd like to know more...

I went to the seminar that sector did with Stand21 and AIM and this question was asked there too. The tech guys were saying the same as I was but I'll try to look for videos
