Whose harness bar?

With more and more track days I've decided to put in a proper harness on my Elise. I already have the Exige-type Lotus sport seats.

Question to you guys: would you go with the Lotus OEM or one of the Sector 111 harness bar options, and why?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

I have the Sector 111s harness bar and I am impressed with quality and rigidity. I strap in with the 6 point harnesses and I am really strapped in place. I feel extremely secure with no feeling of "give" watsoever.

OEM bar... https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f157...fitting-65662/

History behind a past S111 harness bar (4tress) getting dumped on the unsuspecting really left a bad taste in my mouth... since then, I haven't trusted their products too much.

I recently went with the OEM bar, mainly because I preferred the way it attached behind the roll hoop. And Rob at Dietsch Werks gave me an awesome price on one he removed during a cage install.

Another thing to consider, the back panel has to be modified or replaced to accommodate the OEM bar. That is not the case with the Sector bar.

Thanks guys.

I do think the OEM looks more robust and a neater install, but more expensive.

I've left a message with BRG to see if they have their "kit" in stock.

IMO, it is well worth the extra expense.
