How to apply a filter to "Active Topics"

I am wondering if there is a way to filter out some of the Forums from the "Active Topics" list. For example I might want to exclude "Lotus Esprit" from my list of Active Topics since I don't actively read those as often. I know I have been able to do this on other Forum sites in the past, but have not figured out how to do that here.

Is there any difference in filter settings between "Lifetime Premium Members" and a standard membership?

Here's what I do, that may help.

From the main forum index, double click on the icon for each sub-forum that you're not interested in.

That will mark all threads in that particular sub-forum as read, so that when you then go to active topics, those threads don't show up in bold.

That allows me to do visual kind of filtering, which works fine for me. HTH.

Change the address of your bookmark to the following for it to pull up the New Posts list with the Esprit sub-forum excluded:

Code:
https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=164
In the example above, the "164" at the end is the forum ID. You can exclude more than one by separating them with commas (no spaces). To get the forum ID, hover your mouse over any link to the forum and you'll see it at the end of the address in your status bar (if your browser has it turned on) as .../forums/f123/, etc.

Thanks JWA, thats a great deal. The below should work for me, if i just remember to keep hitting the favorite rather than "Active Topics".

So the code is already there to exclude forums, so really we just need an enhancment to make it stick to our userIDs, seems like a pretty easy Enhancement Request if we could get it submitted.

164=Espirt
170=Evora

Code:
https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=164,170

Any update on what Active Topics to show? A way to exclude some forums? I have been using this in the meantime:

www.lotustalk.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=201,164,170,325,329,3 30

Not on an individual user basis, nor on a usergroup (ie. Premium User) basis. The Active Topics can be fine tuned to exclude specific sections, but it would apply to any who view that page

Any chance we could have this feature working again? It stopped working when the new default theme 'full' was introduced.

It still works in the 'classic' theme.

Hey there,

We'll have a look at it, but for now, maybe use the classic skin in the meantime.
I believe @XtinctElise have already made another thread regarding "New threads" instead of "New posts"
