Does everyone's image go to the newest post? Can that be adjusted back to starting a thread at the first post? Aggravating when you go to a thread you have never opened before and it goes to the end.

I too like old format better - finally got used to it from elisetalk.com days. The new one is too bright on the cell phone in the dark. Too much scrolling.... but the drag files to attach would be more convenient.

Modded but still NA!

To me, it looks hideous, especially the colors, and all the spacings and tabs are too large. This will be the only website I'll have to 'zoom out' to make everything look smaller and compact so that I can scroll less.
And what's up with the low-res or jpeg artifacts on the left three cars in the main banner? These jagged edges are an eyesore.
Is the left sidebar missing? The main content looks lopsided and off-center now. I much prefer the look of the previous version where everything important was right in the center of the screen since I use a VERY LARGE monitor. The front page looks fine, though, since it's 'centered', albeit it's bit narrow and the right sidebar is encroaching to the center.

The welcome changes are:
abandoning the forum software's search in favor of google, although I always used "site:lotustalk.com blah blab blah" on a separate tab.
streamlined file attachment? (hopefully it resizes all the pictures on its own? It's the only reason why I link instead of attaching).

Sure, this is a drastic change and, it can be expected that some will not like it. I am one of them.
I will eventually deal with the new look, but the thing I don't like the most and feels that needs to be changed (not the trivial stuff like the color choices) is the vertical spacing between the tabs. Everything is too tall and have too much space!

I hope the admins and designers give it some more time 'til everything looks 'right'.

I 100% agree with what Scott mentioned.

1) The banner picture is in low resolution.
2) What's up with New Evora, New Exige and "Old" Elise? That's weird and not consistent....
3) Esprit, Elan, Lotus 7 need to be there because this is a Lotus forum, not a "Modern" Lotus forum.
4) The lime green looks good on Lotus, but they don't look good on the design of the forum.
5) fonts are getting really huge, i know I can fix that on my end but still, I miss the clean look from the previous version.
6) Stop messing with the mobile and tablet version, it's been very incomplete and slow since you guys started changing it a year or two years ago.

I hope these are constructive comments, and I really appreciate the effort of making a change. And I definitely appreciate the photo uploading feature, thanks Jeff.
Thanks guys,

Honest feedback is welcome, we are going to tweak the colors a bit and work on some stuff.

Mobile has been a challenge for sure, there is an entirely new product in the works and hope to have something before the end of the year.

And can we get rid of that "setup progress" box at the top of the main forum page? I've been here for >4 years, and if I wanted to subscribe to a thread, I would have by now. I don't need to be reminded to do it.

Thank you.

Why do people want mobile apps? I do not believe I have ever used one for any site. Use ipad mostly, rarely a desktop unless at work.

Terrible. I hate these type of styled forums. This style site runs much slower on my PC. All this Flash crap bogging my PC down. Mazda3 forum did the same thing, I can't even go on that forum without spending hours on it. The same will be for this. For someone that has to check in and be done quick will be a huge task and I probably won't even bother to visit more than once a week which will mean going through 10+ pages of new threads.

Why the change is necessary is beyond me. The simpler, the better. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Then you resize the window and it smashes the thread into a tiny column to the left and on the right you have ads or recent discussions which I don't care for. This affects the size of the pictures people post. Before there would be at the very top "click for large picture." Easy. Now it's not there, so you have to either copy image location and open a new tab and post the link or you have to right click and chose view image which then you have to go back which will reload the page all over again.

But of course, I'm sure this is here to stay.

I'll go against this current; I like the new look quite a lot more.

As long as we are expressing dissatisfaction with less critical stuff with the new software,

How 'bout cleaning up the list of Smilies? Or at least, re-ordering them so that there is no duplication in the initial Reply screen?

(Two smiles, two winks, two frowns...you get the point?)

I miss being able to quickly click the ROTFL and THWACK images:

Part of the time we live in. There are always people out there who think a full refresh of sites is needed right now. Heck most banking sites seem to redo their interface every few months.

Often as they get more "improved" they are much harder to use. Utube is to the point that I rarely use it now. Weather and news sites especially change their appearance so often that it's a game to use them.

Just this morning I am battling my Verizon wireless interface. Some smart people have decided it needed another redo this year and I can not locate anything, many dead links and unresponsive screens. Great.

Those of us who are older and have been on here longer are pretty much offended at things that were a comforting part of our day suddenly becoming unfamiliar and a new challenge.

That's why Windows 8 was a criminal act and Windows 10 has abandoned 90% of the interface "improvements"

Testing Mutli Quote here and seems to be working, are you clicking the Mutliquote button on each post then hitting reply?

When you press the QUOTE button it goes right to the Reply to To Thread screen.

When you press the Multi-Quote button nothing happens. (except the MQ button goes gray)

The reply screen DOES appear with the Quote if you hit the Reply button after multi-quote.

So it seems as if it requires more button pushing. (Isn't life difficult enough already? LOL)

I saw one of admins posted that you could revert back to old settings. Have any of you tried it yet?

Its at the bottom left hand side if you scroll all the way down!

I think the new age dopey looking smileys need to go to the bottom of the list.

Yes that is the expected action, hit multi quote on 2 or more posts then hit reply to thread and it will bring you to the reply box with their quotes.

I am using the "classic skin". Much easier on the eyes. I have been biting my tongue trying to be nice and not say anything negative.

You can change to the classic skin by going to the User CP and selecting "Edit Options" on the left side. It is all the way at the bottom.
