Maybe they take the "Monkey" in "MonkeyWrench Racing" a little too literally.

To be fair, do any happy customers want to come forward to defend MWR?

I've bought aftermarket parts from their site, but none were "MWR" products.

I've spoken on the phone with MWR and the guys are talked to weren't particularly friendly. I was planning on buying several parts, one of which was on sale at the time. I was told to buy immediately since the sale would not continue into the next month. Not only did the sale continue, but all the other parts were then on sale too. In his defense, the guy who told me this might not have known about the upcoming sale.

The local shop I use has dealt with MWR on celicas and said they behaved like jerks.

Why? Because they are now a sponsor and don't want this popping up in the recent posts list? None of the posts here appear to be crossing the line or terms of use.

Geez, you sure hit the nail on the nail. This exact issue perfectly summarizes the reason I have been driven away from this site and now spend most of my time somewhere else. It is really a shame. I may not be such a loss, but others who brought a lot to the table feel the same way and have also left.

Because its from 4 years ago and both parties involved have probably gone their seperate ways. If you've had bad interaction with a vendor (whether a sponsor or not) then bring it up. But most of these posts, like the one I quoted, are borderline trolling.

Very easy for you to say as you did not have thousands of dollars in damage done to your car. While MWR refunded some of the money I paid for the turbo kit I was never compensated for the real damage they did and it was pretty extensive. Until that day they I don't think they should be given a pass as it demonstrate what they can and have done to its customers. If thats not relevant then you don't appreciate your fellow Lotus owners. It's not a good standard to set in allowing companies to hurt its customers with the knowledge that in time all will be forgiven and business as usual. They should make things right first and then work to regain customers trust... not just let time go by and hope people forget or just don't know.

Nothing wrong with you posting your complaints as you were directly involved. And you have it linked in your sig for ppl to see, I think that is fair.

We've had some questionable vendors come and go, Haas & Ragnarok for example. If they mistreat enough people they will eventually be uncovered and go out of business.

But don't word it like I'm sympothizing with anyone. I don't let anyone work on my cars for this exact reason....you never know when your cars going to be the learner car.

Has anyone ever heard the term "Beating a dead horse". That is what I see here. No need to bump this thread anymore. Not worthy of a lock, but please refrain from bumping this 4 year old thread anymore. Thanks.
