Purchased all the O rings and gasket.

Anybody know the torque spec. for those 5 bolts for the head and manifold?

After took off the SC, these 2 pictures were what I found.

Replaced the gasket, put everything back.

But did not fix the problem, it just get a little better.

Car was able to crawl up 3 level parking slope. After the fix, it can only crawl 1/2 level

But why not fix right the way? Anything I missed.

These are the pictures that I took after the manifold was off. Why is the leak in blue?

What an Odyssey man...

I would jerk the entire intake tract off. Reseal/ torque everything.

For some reason I thought you already have done that, but I see your just to the intake manifold. I would take that off too... Everything. That way you know your problem has nothing at all to do with intake...

Could your intercooler be faulty?

I have already taken off the intake manifold, as the pictures show.

Have checked and replaced:
- Airbox
- MAF
- Vacuum lines
- Soft goose neck from airbox to TB
- Throttle body
- Intercooler silicon tubes
- Intercooler
- Temp sensor on intercooler to check leak
- Intake manifold gasket

What else I have miss?

I will see what mine does. I believe it settles to 800 rpm more quickly than yours but I'll make an effort to check the next time I'm using the car.

Yesterday I disconnected my MAF and drove around for about 20 minutes to see what effect it would have. At 120 km/hr it was about the same as normal. At startup though the car would run rough and idle at 600 rpm and sometimes stall out.

I was checking out the theory that if the car runs better without the MAF then one needs a new MAF.

As far as I can remember, it should settles to 800 more quickly.

As far as I can remember, if short burst the gas paddle to 1800, it should drop back to 800 and shouldn't have a jump around 1200.

So might be still leaking somewhere or some sensor has issue. ie the post cat O2 sensor? or else?

RE: the last video of the idle.

That's the problem? I mean is that really a problem? Maybe that's from the ECU controlling the idle in that way? I can't say for sure since I don't drive my car that much, but I do believe my car has done that once in a while.

Dude, please help to post some video of your idle with:
- Paddle to 3000rpm that release the paddle very quick
- Short & fast burst to 1800-2000rpm than release the paddle very quick

I checked my car today. Mine responds pretty much like your third video with the exception that yours rises a bit and then falls back. Mine does not rise.

Yours goes to 1100 and then blips up to 1400 and settles back. When yours is doing that mine is hanging around 1200. The rest pretty much matches my car.

At this point could it be anything other than the ECU?

Or possibly a strange reading from a sensor? I have had a issue bother me for a few months before sorting out, but never years.

How is it that LOTUS can just more or less walk away without a solution?

Mine was like RBH's video - at least during the first 27 seconds.

I didn't see the upwards blip that he has later in the video.

Yours is almost like mine

As far as I remember, there shouldn't have the jump at around 1100rpm (with short fast burst on gas paddle)

Mine's very similar to RBH. The little blip or hang at 12-1300 rpm is a bit random (not exactly the same every time), I've always considered it normal. I think it's just a by-product of the ECU tune. I have a KoldFire tune, but I think it is pretty much the same with the stock S240 tune (though idle is more steady on the KF tune). FWIW, I did have an intermittent stalling and "lean bank 1" issue when my car was new, the dealer replaced the SC/intake manifold gasket on warranty, and it's been fine since.
