K20/K24 swap elise/exige, AXLE

I am looking to design and ask a machine shop to make axles for the K20/K24 swap on elise/exige, for the engine located based on INNOVATIVE ENGINE MOUNT KIT. My goal is to have a parts cost estimation in 4 weeks. After, make a prototype for my car, and maybe make more after.

AXLES main here, shaft only between each CV joints.

Of course, some axles already exist on the market for that swap. My reason to make it:

- able to use the high quality OEM existing LOTUS outboard CV (8 balls by the way) shaft going to bearing hub
- able to use the high quality OEM existing HONDA inboard CV, left and right
- be able to repair broken CV with OEM parts
- The axles will not have bigger capacity than stock parts, and maybe they are not as good as Insane for drag race, but for track use, I suppose they will be better.

The disadvantage of this solution: The shaft build will need to assemble with existing parts, and new boots by other. For all new parts, of course, it cost more. With existing parts, it should cost less.

I burned a Insane shaft kit (rated 500 hp) after about 20 min on high speed race track, and not able to repair it locally since the parts into the shaft are not OEM and sound like made in China (based on my local CV shaft specialist, like he said, I don't play with that kind of stuff...).

If it sound interesting for you, let me know.

Very reasonable prices too.

Edit: oh, and do ask for them to be gun drilled. Very much worth the extra few bucks. They say it reduces the strength, but it does improve on its fatigue life.

Whoever said that island life is great was never committed to Alcatraz...

DRawing done, i will try to see the machine shop tomorrow. Funny thing during the design process, I found that the insane shaft on left side is too long... weird.
