Anyone running Braid wheels?

I like the look a lot better than the angular-spoke oem wheels.

This UK seller offers them in custom colors, too. (I'd certainly choose a silver instead of the standard white.) And they say they can supply them without the logo stuck on.

They show 16x7 and 17x8 but can also do 15x7 and 16x8.

For a better pic there's a black set (that looks blue to me) on ebay also.

Anyone have any experience with these wheels?

You don't need to go to the UK. Contact Paul @ TeamIlluminata.

I run braids on my rally car (Subaru), they're quite common in rally. I haven't seen any in the Lotus world, though they're a common competitor in racing to Team Dynamics, which are reasonably common among the Lotus world.

I think the Braid Forged 7 could look really slick on an Elise. Seems like it's doable in our sizes and offsets. It would great to hear feedback from more Lotustalkers that have experience with Braids. Name: IMG_7245.JPG

I looked at those some years ago, great reputation. They were willing to work with me on the sizes and offsets, but it made them cost prohibitive.

I might be buying the ones on Ebay, but am trying to find out if the extra 1/2" of width on the wheels (compared to stock) might interfere with anything.
I just picked up a stock size set of R88r Toyo's for my Exige.
Does anyone know if these will work for me?
