Totally agree, Dave is a magician. We had several issues with the exhaust not mating with the cat/header & also with the clamhinge bracket not sitting properly. This solution solves all of those problems. Having the exhaust on a rail means you can adjust it to fit, and you can also adjust each side independently.

Nice work Dave!!

So this exhaust ended up being too loud for me - I'll have it for sale in a bit. PM me if you're interested. Sounds great, but will likely make your car illegal on most tracks with any kind of noise level requirement.

so I took my car down to Charleston, SC this weekend (approx 3 1/2 hr drive...) to hang out with a friend. I26 had a few rough spots along the way... and when I got home a few hours ago I noticed my driver's side tip was resting on my diffuser... initially didn't think much of it because I've had to pull the tips back up and tighten the clamp more, hoping it will hold itself in place... well then I go to do this and it wasn't the same issue, the exhaust hadn't rolled and rotated itself this time...

Hey guys. I'll chime in here as OP.

Let's not go straight to comparing Millionaire Racing to Transforged. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and that this will be handled as quickly as any issue GRP might have (GRP being the standard-bearer for good service as a Lotus vendor).

I think we'd all agree that this is a very usual failure for a rod of any type. I reached out to Millionaire and I understand he's been in contact @lt1_fd3s . There will be some further investigation, but hopefully it will be resolved amicably.

I've done 1000kms with it this since installation and have had no issues. I checked the mounting rods to make sure after this post.

Thanks,
C

Correct, I have already been talking to Wolf about it. I emailed him before I posted to share my experience. He will be looking into it, and has already has given me a few tips to double check once repair and I'm re-installing. Due to the nature of the break and cost of shipping, I plan to get it repaired locally. By no means am I wanting to throw Millionaire under the bus on this failure and bad mouth the quality of their product. Mainly just sharing my experience.

Wondering if a clamp & hanger mount design like what BOE uses on their silent touch would be more resistant to failure of this kind.

It's a very appealing option. I have recently purchased a 2008 240s and am considering this as an option. My issue is that I need to stay below 103 decibels in order to use it at Area 27. Varun916's feelings that its too loud therefore concerns me. Is anyone who purchased this able to provide some statistics?

If there is a local guy who builds titanium bicycle frames, they should be able to weld this up for you. I would suggest sliding a titanium reinforcement(press fit) into the hanger tube where it broke to help spread load and prevent failure. Weld as far around as possible after taking all the contamination(color) off the weld area, maintain argon purge everywhere.
