Chassis lube?

Does our chassis need any type of maint lubrication? Suspension components? If so, how, where, and what type of lube?

If you are referring to the lubrication of ball joints, tie rod ends, or other components with zerk (grease) fittings, the answer is no. Like most other modern cars, the Elise and Exige do not have chassis/suspension components that can be greased rather they are sealed and lubricated for the life of the component. The wheel bearings are also sealed units and can not be lubricated and there are no king pins or trunnions needing lubrication like the old British cars on a modern Lotus.

that's what I thought, just needed confirmation. Was hoping I could eliminate some rattles and creaks with a little grease here and there...

Thanks!!!

Sounds like you could use some gasketing foam with interior panel rub-points and perhaps with the diffuser/rear-panel area too.
