Dealer recommendations please

Living in the shadows of Mt. Rushmore means that there is no local Lotus dealer.

Closest is Minneapolis, some 9.5 hours drive, so that kinda opens things up a bit.
Anyone have experience with the Texas, Utah, Missouri, or Minnestota dealers? I'm looking to add my name to the queue at one of them. Going just by online web sites, Autostrada in Austin looks interesting.

Over the years I've had a good number of sports cars. First was a '58 TR-3A bored out to 150 cid. Last was a '96 Miata. But since moving here weather has mandated an AWD. And recently my restored '73 Dodge Challenger has been taken over by one of my sons so an Elise is on my scope for mypersonal fair weather sled.

Looks like Lotus USA will authorize a local outfit to perform service and take care of warranty issues (reimbursed through the selling dealership I believe). But ultimately the performance reputation of the selling dealership becomes a critical factor for me.

Appreciate any counsel, advice, or wisdom here.

If there was anyway you could sign up with Northpoint in Atlanta . . . they are a no nonsense, straightforward, educated dealer with a huge inventory for pre-orders. I am #31 on their list. With such an investment of time and $, it might be worth a phone call and ultimately a plane trip. Remember the most important thing is that whatever dealer you choose, they should have a organized waiting list with a huge pending inventory

HI,
I also highly recommend Lotus of Atlanta! I'm #2 on the list there, Chris Constantin is the Lotus guy there and is quite helpful.

I checked their web site and guess I'll need to call regarding covered delivery, warrenty service, etc. up here. So far the only site that mentions anything at all is in Texas.

Thanks guys!

I had my deposit set with Downtown Jaguar/Lotus in Minneapolis back in January.

Then a friend of mine got a job at Autostrada (in Austin, TX), called me up one day and said "send me $1500 right now".

I ended up going from #32 on the MN list to #18 on Autostrada's. Fine by me. It'll make for a fun drive back to Nebraska.

The guys at Downtown Lotus in MN were great, though. I'd definitely recommend them.
