Thanks! It was from LA to SF taking the PCH (1). It's about 450-500 miles. It's a beautiful drive, but unfortunately we had rain much of the trip. Great way to learn the wet handling capabilities.

KSM, did you do the front grill mesh yourself? How hard was the process? I've been thinking about taking the slats out and just having nothing there, not even mesh.

Lowtush,
That last photo lools like an old airbrushed postcard. Interesting.

Thanks. No, the previous owner "madden" did all the work and a fine job at that. Took him a couple tries before he got it just right. A lot of work but the result is very refined. I like that the grills sit just behind the opening of the clam such that none of the edges can be seen (vs. having the grill sit within the opening with the entire grill edges seen).

I don't know if I would leave nothing there in the front. Might be asking for trouble from small animals or from passers-by who think they've stumbled upon some sort of expensive trash bin. And for consistency what would you do with the slats over the motor?

Here are links that talk about how some of the work was done on my car.

https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f3/w...project-68898/ (front grill shown was first attempt and not final product)

https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f3/f...r-badge-72775/

Aside: I have other pics I want to post and might put them into a separate thread to keep them together.

Those seats are the 2010 CUP260 HANS seats in cloth trim. They are made out of carbon fibre and give better lateral support than the usual Exige seats. I bought them from Lotus Sport.

Here's a better pic of the seat: http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l.../DSC_10080.jpg
