Unhappy Gear cables snapped

Hi there!

I am not sure if this subject been available here at the forums, but here is what happened

I own Elise SC 09, One day I was driving than the gear cables snapped, I have read a lot about some very high quality gear cables such as SSC or Motorsport, So I purchased from Motorsport gear cables, than once I received the shipment I found the cables are shorter than the OEM, is this normal? or there must be a mistake, Please need your help

Regards
Zak

I'm not familiar with the Motorsport cables, but looking at the Elise-Shop website I only see two versions, neither of which indicates fitment with the Toyota-engined S2 Elise/Exige. The routing of the cables has very little slack, so if the length between the two fixed ends of the outer sheath (that are held at the transmission bracket and the shifter cable block) is significantly shorter than stock, then no, they won't fit.

The 2ZZ version should fit. I went with the Sector111 (now Inokinetic) cables, which I can vouch for.
