There has been moments where I don't turn the key all the way in when I think I did. Rarely, a last jiggle at the end to get it to turn all the way usually does the trick.You also mentioned, maybe you didn't actually turn off the immobilizer as you didn't see your lamps flash could be possible, too. If that was the case, and if you remember, the single light on your gauge cluster would still be on/blinking for the immobilizer. Anyways, glad you got it back up.
