LSS Elise vs. Exige Wheel Offsets

Can anyone tell me if the offsets are different on the
Elise (2005) 16" & 17" LSS wheels and the Exige (2007) 16" & 17" LSS wheels?

They are the same widths.

Thanks,

Henry

I was under the impression they are the same. Here is a chart that Sector 111 used to have posted on their website that I had saved when I was searching for wheels. There was no specified difference when I got my wheels between those years/models.

I have LSS wheels on my 2006 Elise, and the fronts are 6" wide. It's my understanding that the Exige wheels are 6.5" on the front.

Offsets are the same for front 31 and rear 38, but if your talking about dimensions, there are some LSS wheels with the 6" fronts vs the 6.5". My 05 Elise has the 6.5" fronts. Then I read somewhere, but not confirmed, that 08 Exige S got the 6" fronts. Only way to really know is to physically check it I guess. The rear is the same for all at 7.5".

So if the front LSS wheels (6.50" forged dual spoke) are the same on both Elise and Exige
is the front clam on the Exige wider?

Thanks.

Henry

Here is what Seloc says about LSS wheel options. As you can see, the Elise has 16x6 and the Exige has 10x6.5 as options. If you have 6.5 on a Elise, they were either a special order, or added later on.

So there was a time when the Elise was first introduced lotus ran out of the stock base rims which had 6" fronts. So instead of the stock base wheels, they started supplying some Elises with the LSS wheels with the 6.5 fronts until they had the base rims in stock again. A good handful of the 2005 Elise came with the wider LSS wheels in the front. Mine was one of them. Been well documented from older threads from alot of other members. IMO, really the only way to know which you have is to physically check it if you had bought it used. Although, there are probably a larger amount of the wider fronts floating around than the 6".

Not to start an argument, but the stock base wheels for the front for the Elise were 5.5" They came with 175/50/16 tires.

The owner's handbook, admittedly for the 2007 MY onwards, states:

Elise std. 5.5J x 16 (cast)
Elise option 6.0J x 16 (forged + AD07)
Elise option 6.5J x 16 (forged + A048)
Exige 6.5J x 16

Rear 7.5J x 17

Cheers.

My mistake. Base wheels are 5.5. I got caught up in the 6 and 6.5 numbers haha. Yea lotus pretty much threw on what they had available with our cars. Always something different with each and everyone. I guess itís what makes each one unique.
