Nice is a good word for it ...
I had a Nissan 200sx with 180kw atw before the 111R. Below 4000rpm, the Nissan was lethargic, but above 4000 it was a rocket.
By comparison, the Elise has "good" acceleration in a straight line. Power hungry buyers will likely be dissappointed.
But on corners and under brakes, the Elise is something else!
Tonight I took a tight right hand bend at 6000rpm in third at over 100km/h ... I came rapidly on a slow car [50km/h] in my lane and changed lanes mid corner without backing off the accelerator at all ... the elise simply changed track like it was on rails.
In any other car I would have felt committed to the line, and the only choice would have been to gently come off the accelerator and apply the brakes to scrub off speed.
With the Elise, you have full control at speed, mid corner - its awesome!
