I'm going to print that out and ask my dealer if he will put it in the window of the demo when it comes in

That's Great

I went to the dealer today and he mentioned that some people had called and were curious wondering if the dealer would let them sell their spots on the waiting list. He said the people didnt say they wanted to do it, they were just wondering what the dealers postions was. He told them that they frown upon this and want the orderers to be the purchasers. I told them that they should make the people buy the car, pay the sales tax and them let them sell it. The sales tax would eat up most of the profits. I got the impression they dont like speculators either and want people who are buying the car to keep it.

He said they have orders for about 65 cars and know they will be getting 50 that they know of in their allocation, so there is no point in letting people sell their spots since they already have others that want the car.

They also said they were told that Lotus wants them to keep 2 Esprits in stock, they just sold one, so they ordered a midnight blue one. They were told it is the same as the Aston Martin blue paint color. It looks like a slightly lighter navy blue color from what I remember seeing on Astons in the past. He also mentioned that some dealers were taking a beating selling the Esprits way under cost, so I guess the allocation based on sales rumor is true. I saw a post someplace that someone bought one for about 65K. For that price, people might want to think about buying an Esprit instead of paying 60K for an Elise on eBay.
