It was getting the dates when you drove a Dodge Aries K that was difficult.

You sound a little bitter, have you resolved these feelings ?

NevB,
Can you take a pic of your 111R's instrumentation? We would like to know if your tach is linear or compressed from 1k to 3k RPM.
Thanks!

It was my understanding, that Lotus discourages fitting the LSS tires to a car with the standard suspension. Thoughts?

NIck Adams, Russell and Tony Shute were both adamant that it could be done but that it would make the car a bit "bizarre" in handling characteristics.(paraphrasing Nick). They strongly advised against it. Stating that the suspension for the standard wheels and tires were optimized for that application, likewise the sport suspension setup.

Interesting as I was thinking about putting on the AO48s Yokohama's on my 111R (can get some cheap). I had heard too that unless you have the right set-up that the tyres can move a lot on the wheel because they have so much grip and cause the car to mis-handle slightly. Might ask around a bit.

Hi ACP,

Just thinking back to the variation in trim between our car, ie, yours has leather trim on the centre console while mine is bare.

There is an Ardent Red 111R on test in the latest Evo Mag, and the centre console is bare , just like mine.

On the other hand, the Black 111R owned by Race and Prestige has leather!

Cheers

A friend asked me if they are electrically heated

First 6 cars had leather around the centre console I think it was because the silver console thing wasn't ready or the quality wasn't good enough so they covered them in leather.

Your car must have been in the second shipment of 6 and they must have fixed the problem by then.

How many kms have you done now?

Around 600 very fun kms

I'd do a review, but I know how much agony it creates for the waiting multitude
