PPI for Elise around Albany NY

Long story short, I've come across a 2005 Laser Blue Elise that is currently for sale in the Albany area. I've run a Miata for track days for many years and have steadily moved up into advanced groups. While my skills have improved, the car's are pretty much the same so looking to step up to something a little quicker...left arm is getting tired for the pointbys

Found a car with a cage and 6pt belts which has definitely seen some days on track. Thinking it could be a great platform for a build but wanted to get more details on it. I've done some research on key issues like cam lobe wear/rear toe links/ECU dumps but not sure what shop might help do a thorough PPI in that area.

Any/all suggestions welcome. And if by chance the old owner is still lurking would love to talk to them.

thanks!

I would make sure recalls are done.
I would have a compression check especially because of track days.
I would check rear toe links they are known to be problem.

If there is a dealer or really good shop close i would definitely get a PPI

It's a Toyota motor. The rest is British suspension (which awesome). Bring it to a reputable shop for motor check, ecu dump to see how much of her life has been over 8,000 rpms. Then check back with us.

Also, can lobe wear is a fairly simple fix. Parts $200, labor $600. Rear toe links are $150 plus alignment.

Not "Lotus - only" but a British sports car shop. I spoke with his Mechanic and he's seen those "Exotic Lotus' cars" in the shop before.
James is the man however and he won't be in until Saturday morning and he stay's until 3:00PM. Call him and see.
