We have a 175k mile car! Is that real? Or is someone messing with us? 98 cars so far...will we break 100?

Just rolled 52K (and did the 52K schedule maintenance this week ). When I bought her, a 2005 GG Elise, 3.5yrs ago...it had 31k miles on her. So an average of 6K miles a year I drive her. Wish it was more but that's Seattle for ya.

I have an early 2005 (#285) that I bought in February 2007 with just over 2k miles. Six years later, I have not quite 14k miles on it, so I average about 2k miles/year. I drive it every weekend for a nice, long drive to get things warmed up, as taking it to work during the week is not practical in my case.

3,049 miles for me. Bought "new" last September with 455 miles. I believe it was the last "new" Elise left in California.

I'm still curious as to who posted that 175k mile car on the poll. Trying to figure out if that is real or not. Seems high, but almost possible.

I need to change my vote in the poll. I voted when I was at 66k miles, and today, when I drive home from work, I will pass 80k miles.

I like the idea of the pool, but I would have liked to have seen the mileage increments smaller. We might actually get a recognizable distribution. I would guess it would be skewed to the left like this:

____
/ \
/ \_
\_/ \_/

Sadly, the line draw was a huge fail. I miss the days of ASCII art..but you can see the curve if you inspect the source for the page.

bobford @ 164,000 miles. You have me beat. I'm at about 200,000 km, sadly only 124,000 miles.
