weird issue (ants)?

Not really lotus related but I seem to have a problem with micro ants on the exterior of my Elise. At first I thought it was just the area I parked in but it seems that I have them wherever I park. I think a nest may be in the car somewhere but can not find it.

Any ideas on this ?

Try terro ant bait. They take it with them to the hive and it eventually kills them all.

It sound like those "grease and sugar" feeding ants. They move single file in a line over the same path toward the food if it is them. The traps work great and took care of an infestation I had in my truck last year. If you want to quickly reduce their numbers, there is an orthoboric acid based blue liquid "ANT-KIL" that I found at the Home-Depot on a recommendation. Just lay down thumbnails of masking tape (to protect the surface) and deposit a few drops in their path. They can't resist it.

Too bad they aren't on the inside as a Gecko would do the job for you.

For decades, I've used boric acid (1/4 cup) mixed with corn syrup (1 cup). Light corn syrup leaves less staining.

Same as above: ants like it, bring it into nest, they all die.

Cheap, effective.
