Anyone in Massachusetts?

Hi, I am hoping to go for a test drive next week, does anyone have any experience with "Lotus Motorsports INC", Waltham, MA, 02452?

Good service?
Test car?

What is their waiting list like for the Elise? (time? no.?)

Thanks!

Chris

P.S. I have seen only 1 Elise in MA this year, it doesn't look like they are very popular over here!

Garage
there arent that many elises running around the US so I doubt its reflective of their popularity in MA that you havent seen one.

You might also want to cross post this in the REGIONS section of the website.

Call Pat or Steve. They are good guys. They have a very nice new facility. I've had my M100 Elan serviced there and have an Elise on order.

Hi Rod,

Nah, I work in Milford, my girlfriend works in Milford also (although at a different firm) and we ride share together, presently in our winter beater Acura integra, my Boxster is tucked away for the winter now.
Nice to meet you!

I'm #65 there... mid-summer I was told

It orginally started as early spring delivery. I just hope to get it before snow in 2005. Pat and Steve were great. When I asked for a test drive, Pat told me to just come on down whenever I'm free. They let me drive the hell out of their demo for good 25 minutes. Just don't buy their demo.

I saw a laser blue in Newton 2 days ago.

So did you put down your deposit in November 2004?

From something I read in another forum I heard they had no demo car, however it seems they were wrong, I will call up tomorrow for a test drive!

Thanks!

Hey - we dealt with them recently. Worked with Pat to get our Chrome Orange. He's a great guy. Very impressed with the dealership so far, but not got into servicing yet so can't comment. So far so good though: very professional, nice, straight-up guys. Probably the best dealership I worked with so far...

Came in on the weekend to let us test drive a car and then again when we came to pick up our car, so bonus points for flexibility.

We picked it up early on extra allocation (orginally due for Spring 2005, #88 on the list). Had it 2 or 3 weeks now and it's great. Sucks that it's snowing now of course...

N.E. Motorsports

Received my Storm Titanium Elise in September. I have nothing but praises for this dealership. Down to earth, straight to the point, no B.S. Also had my 1K service.

I would highly recommend them.

I had my M100 serviced there a few years ago when I was at BC but there is a specialist in Needham (down Route 9 before I 95) that is ten times better for service and a lot cheaper. The guy's name is john but I don't remember the name of the garage off of the top of my head but I could find it out if you want.

I'm in the next town over from you. I've had my Elise since August. I was the second to take delivery in Boston. My experince has been great. There is also a guy named Bruce within a few miles of you. The Elise is becoming as commonplace as a Vet around here.

Chris, I was there today, checking in on the progress of my deposit. They have no demo, though they do have one Elise that looks like it might be available. It is exactly the way I want mine, so I was very tempted. I'm on the fence about pulling the plug on the Elise and getting something else for now...

But they were very friendly and easy to talk to.

I was on the phone with Pat yesterday... he said that one will be around until it sells. I'm headed down this week to check how well I can fit into the car... my 12.5 EEEE feet might be a bit wide for the pedal box.

Apparently, their demo period ended back in October, so they don't have a demo available for test drives.

So, I went down to Waltham this morning (nasty weather, that's for sure) and gave the car a test-fit...

I'm 6'3", 270lbs, and have (as mentioned above) 12.5 EEEE feet, and found the vehicle to be similarly difficult in ingress and egress as any car with a roll cage and traditional X-type door bars... not particularly difficult, but not pretty.

As for pedal spacing, it's a tight fit, but placement seems reasonable enough that my feet can move each pedal independently without hitting the others. Pedals seemed appropriately placed for both heel-toe and LFB.

Now that I've finally had a chance to climb into one, I'm going to start saving up to be in a buying position by summertime.

Too bad they didn't have a demo in for a test drive. ... though, it would have been interesting in the snow.

A little late response.... They had a Storm Ti demo. They said they would try to sell it in a few days. I put my deposit down early 2004 (March?). I was told mid-summer 2005 deliver.
