Car Mod Books

Can anyone point me towards a good book or two on car modifications that emphasize performance mods, i.e. turbos/SC's, suspension, brakes, tires, etc.? I guess these could also be called racing or track mods. I'm looking for a nice centralized source of information that explains the theory behind these sorts of things.

Thanks.

Maximum Boost by Corky Bell is a good one for forced induction.

I have four stroke performance tuning a. graham bell its not bad, building & tuning high-performance EFI by ben strader ( who is a very knowledgeable guy probably one of the best books around for EFI stuff), i have corky's book, took me a while to get that one too. engine management and advanced tuning, greg banish, its ok.

motorbooks.com has a lot of good ones

and a subscription to racecar engineering which is great mag.

I also joined the SAE, there is a wealth of information there.

I don't know about his four stroke stuff, but Bell's Two Stroke Performance Tuning is great.

Got it many years ago and it's still the first book I grab when thinking something through.

torque (tŰrk) n. - an excuse for the lack of momentum.
- let's bring back CanAm & Group B!

I'm currently working on my performance driving merit badge.
