cental locking/wiring diagrams for cobra alarm

Hi guys.

I bought a 2004 111R Elise aprox 2 months ago and already im having problems with it. When i press the fob button to lock the car, it locks, but when i press the button to unlock it it tries to lock itself again. Ive took it to two auto electricians that cannot fix it as they dont have the wiring diagrams. Ive downloaded a diagram from tradebit for $8 and printed off aprox 35 pages all to do with the wiring schematic which he said doesnt help him? It was a 2001-2002 manual. Is there a later edition which i can download or does anyone have one here which they are willing to send me??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

ps its the U.k spec, right hand side drive if that makes a diff?

The wiring diagram for the Cobra Alarm can be downloaded with the information in this thread: http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6450

The wiring diagram from the Factory Service Manual ($25 from Lotus USA, but I don't know if you can access it from the UK) is shown below. The color codes for the wiring is also listed (the first number on each wire is the circuit number, the letter is the color code, and the third entry/number is the wire size). Hope it helps.

thats great tim thanks!!

you're right i cant access any of the installation/owners manuals.

The auto electrician was having trouble finding the sensors and switches, which he said he could follow where the wire went but he would be charging me ££ph!! Is the any other diagrams that point out where all the CDL swithches are located on the car??

we may be getting somewhere.

Ive not been able to alarm/immobolise my car for the last 3 weeks

cheers tim

Why aren't you taking it back to the dealer?
(Somthing stinks in denmark)

I am always suspicious of a guys with 2 or 3 posts wanting to know about the alarm system.
Probably legit - but always sense trouble...

The dealer is an hours drive away and a Lotus garage even further. He gave me a 3 month warrenty and this only covers me for the auto electrician to be VAT registered and them not charging more than £50ph. Lotus will charge way over that here in the UK. The electrician only lives 5mins away. It would be a LOT easier if i could tell him where the CDL switches are!? Ive only stumbled across this site recently because ive only just bought an Elise.
