Not sure if anybody is testing this out?
We haven't tested ShiftR yet - there may be issues with the post/rod transition height. I haven't yet worked out a story for testing compatibility yet unfortunately, still need to sync with Greg on that.

Which shifter is this?

** save ~10 lbs gain 1 hp ** EQ: Y=(190*X) / (1984-X) where Y is (HP) and X is (lbs)

That's the stock shifter on a 2006 exige, with the internals partially hidden by a piece of vinyl.

Yup! There's still a resistance "hill" to get to reverse, but the collar's been disabled(via zip tie)

Thanks! Is there a thread or post about how to do this?

We'll have a step-by-step with pictures on the process as part of the install instructions for the gated shifter, but the super quick summary is - unscrew your knob, unhook the reverse cable, lift the lockout mechanism up off the rod, zip tie the cable out of the way, then remove the console & zip tie the reverse lockout lever that the cable connects to - this will keep it in the "engaged" position so you can actually shift into reverse.

You'll still have a collar on the rod for the reverse lockout mechanism(see earlier posts in this thread for what that looks like) - I dremeled that off, which would make going back much harder. For me the clean look was more important, but the gated plate will work perfectly fine with the collar in place as it's higher on the rod than the plate.
