Nightfall is pretty rare too but much more numerous than AG. The Polar blue is a great color, I may only have seen one personally.

Here's my polar blue Elise ('06)...a very underrated color and must be seen in person..the best color IMHO! I recently put carbon fiber mirrors on (wrap) and the contrast looks amazing. Liquid blue is too sparkly IMO.

Just saw Flyguyskt's Autumn Gold Elise at the beach last week. My friend spotted it from our condo and while on a beer run we stopped by to check it out and snapped a few pics. I'll post them up when I get home.

I have a Polar Blue as well, and am going ahead and getting a Certificate of Provenance. They are not that expensive, compared to the potential enhancements to the eventual sale price (like, in 30 years or so). That should help.

But mine is an '05, so perhaps this won't help for other years. VIN is SCCPC11125HL34881...and I'm in North Texas. I do know it was the 6th or 7th rarest colour Lotus made, from 2005-2011 or thereabouts.

Cheers,

Stephen.

I have and 06 in Polar blue with the optional 'black pack' (I think that is what it is called. So it has black wheels and diffuser. I think it is an awesome combo, but I'm probably slightly biased.

My guess is that it is pretty rare...

After lurking for YEARS, I thought I would revive this thread to both introduce myself and provide some valuable info right from the start.

I recently purchased a pristine '06 in Autumn Gold Elise. Bone stock. One owner. Sport, touring, hardtop, starshield. Less than 7k miles on the clock. It's pretty darn sweet.

Anyway, I also just ponied up to get the provenance from Lotus because I wanted to know, once and for all, about the rarity of AG.

Based on the draft Andy just sent me, here's the official intel:

For the US market, AG was only offered in 2006. Never released on US/Canadian Exige.

2nd rarest color next to aubergine purple out of the 21 colors available.

For the US market, there were actually 10 AG elises. 8 of them had black interiors. 1 other exactly like mine (options and black interior).

For the Canadian market, there were 2 AG Elises. One black interior, one magnolia.

It was going to be too time consuming for him to research all the other markets beyond North America. But he mentioned that there were two paint trial UK 2005 Elise 111Rs made that were Lotus company cars.

I know some of this had already been figured out, but hopefully this helps anyone looking for more info on AG and general color rarity for 2006.

Is there any way i could get ahold of "ex derklburt"? I have a few questions i need to ask him.

Forgot my password to my old account.
For the record, I still own my 2006 Autumn Gold Elise, so I am not sure who sold theirs to Slither but it wasn't me. So you need to add me back to the list. I have been off the site for quite some time as my Elise is still undergoing an unique engine swap (new Camaro 3.6L Direct Injection V6) that has had a few stumbling blocks due to difficulty getting people to actually do the work and then running into problems with tuning on the ECU since I also added a turbo. I actually just made the decision to change the 2010 engine I initially installed for a newer 2012 version due to the older computer system (Bosch) not being as tunable as the newer version that uses a GM computer. Even though they are essentially the same engine, no one seems to be able to tune that engine and in the end it was going to be more trouble than just going with the newer version of the engine. However, on the bright side, the new version is 28lbs lighter and is capable of making even more power due to some added updates.

I am hopeful that it will be up in running by the end of next month. My car has extremely low miles as it only had around 7000 when I bought it and unfortunately since this has been a 3yr project now, I didn't put a whole lot of miles on it prior to the engine swap project so it doesn't have much more than that on the clock. The 2012 Camaro 3.6L Direct injection V6 (305hp stock) has a GT 3582 turbo that when completed will put down somewhere between 450-500hp to the wheels with a ton of torque at a relatively low boost pressure of somewhere between 8-10psi.

The engine is all aluminum and very small/ light and the transmission is also light weight and very strong as well. Weight should be pretty close to a stock supercharged Elise. Handling is very important to me so I did not want to compromise that at all. My goal was to create the ultimate street car.

To put the power in perspective, check out the October 2014 Motor Trend and read the comparison between the new Dodge SRT Hellcat and the Supercharged ZL1 Camaro. They tested both on a dyno and the supercharged V8 ZL1 put 470hp to the wheels. My V6 should be pretty similar in power and torque but the Camaro weighs twice as much at 4051lbs! I should also get much better gas mileage than the stock 1.8L to top it off as the 2012 V6 Camaro pulls around 30mpg on the highway in a 3800+lb car. With my gearing, I should pull 35mpg plus. I think I will definitely need some Aero to keep it on the ground as gearing will make it capable of well over 200mph which I would not even think of attempting without some aero mods.

So long story short. 2 Wicked is still around unless I decide to put it on the Barrett Jackson auction or someone ended up making me an offer I couldn't refuse. I will update once it is up and running again. Unfortunately, I am in Michigan and will have to store it for the winter so hopefully I can at least drive it once before putting it away.

2006 Elise turbo-(2 Wicked) SOON TO BE A TURBO V6 Monster

^ I do believe you need to be making a build thread for that and updating it!

Edit: Fail, I see that you already did that!

You can add me to the number 10 spot since I didn't buy mine from any of the names on the list (AFAIK). 2006. Current location is PA.
