Do you think it could be used as a daily driver? What should the first mod to it should be? Did they find it in that garage in portugal?

i challenge the mods to merge the DOZENS of threads on this subject. this would be no small task, certainly not one to be taken lightly.

however i do fear that the bringing together of all this random-thread-starting-mayhem may make the autophorum's lotus talk servers (recently purchased at deep discount from the salvation army) even slower... thereby driving down the page views and inhibiting the onslaught on pointless google ads.

what would the website be without too many ads, really slow service and one or two threads posted each day about the lotus submarine?

Welcome to a long time ago on LotusTalk.

It's kind of like that movie "Groundhog Day"
For some reason we are sentenced to repeat this over and over and over.

Did you see the one that fell off the lift? OMGLOLZWOWZERS

(I'd attach a sweet "R" but my quota has been exceeded or something for image attachments I guess. Too bad the quota wasn't exceeded for "Lotus Ring Tones")

No, what slows down servers are the 50,000,000 replies I'll get telling me that I reposted something. I did not search to see if this was a repost, so shoot me already. I don't post on here very often, call me lazy. Either that or I have a life.

Or without the ad nausem orgy of posts flagellating those poor souls who made the mistake of not researching their topic to the satisfaction of the Repost Trolls? Heck, how much faster would it be if nobody slowed things down by searching the massive database to get a simple answer to a question people could ignore if it irritated them?

Just wonderin'.

And welcome to the endless string of people trying to find cute and creative way to tell someone they've just reposted, when only one such admonition is 'necessary.'

Oh, this isn't a repost, it's a re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-repost. The worst offender though was the poor fellow who posted it when two posts below was another one about the submarine Lotus. <-- my new favorite smilie

Thank you, much appreciated. This is a main reason why I don't post very often on message boards. Too many people TRYING to be "cute".

Calm down dude. It's going to be ok.

Don't worry, someone will probably post the submarine tomorrow too.

I think autoforums should make a category for Lotus Submarine posts.

If you want to save everyone time you can search "Barn Find" too.

WGW, you'll find this site has some of the most informed users around.

If it's Lotus related, there's a 99.999999% chance that it has already been discussed here. If it's a non-Lotus car related topic, it drops to around 98%.

However, if it's global warming related, it jumps up to 100%.

Fast in, fast out.

Another "cute" response, congratulations. By the way, thanks a bunch for making it so convenient for me by supplying an "ignore me" button in your sig. Much appreciated because it's about to be used.

sorry for offending you mr grumptastic. i offer a happy thursday morning to you too.

as for the IL, i'll not return the favor, as i don't want to miss any of the humor and content you add to ET.

i try to make the "ignore me" feature as accessible as possible.
i'm hoping to be the most ignored account on ET. with a little help from folks like you... the sky is the limit!!!

That's telling me.

Same four or five people have a thrombosis anytime something is reposted. Pretty clear who could really use the Prozac.

Those reposts ares bugging the crap out of me too - I just don't post about it (well, I guess I am doing it now). A repost about something relatively obscure, fine - but about stuff that has been on EVERY car-related website, magazine, newsletter, ... that is really irritating.
