We used to have both an S1 Elise and a Europa twin cam. Sold the latter due to lack of storage space and, unfortunately, lack of use

Still miss it sometimes though

I'll be posting a thread this afternoon. I'm on the mend but each day is different. Some good and some not so good. The doctors say that in 6-12 months they'll know how much I'll get back. Nerves are funny that way. What they should do and what they will do are two different things. The good news is that I have movement in both hands. The question is how much of the motor skills I regain in the next couple of months.

I had an M100 for 7 years. Sold it about a year ago. I bought it when I was only 15. The elise has some pretty big shoes to fill because that car will be hard to top in my book as a daily driver.

Lotus #7 is my Esprit....which still resides in my garage!

For many driving circumstances, I still prefer her over my 4-month-old Buzzbomb.

Is it just me, or did this trip go downhill since we ran out of Lucky Lager

My Colorado Orange/Cirrus White '72 Elan Sprint DHC (bought in '76) is parked in the garage next to my Chrome Orange Elise.

I had a 1970 Elan S4 for about 17 years that I sold this spring to partially finance the Elise.

Looking at the Esprit and the M100 (sorry guys but it didn't stir my heart like the Elan/Elite/Europa/7 and various racing Loti), I was never really tempted to part with the Elan. But to me the Elise really embodies the spirit of Lotus - I think Colin would have been proud.

I would have liked to have kept both, but didn't have the garage space - the wife wanted somewhere to park her BMW M Coupe... And I knew that the Elan would be neglected - so off she went to someone who would appreciate her more (the car, not the wife!). And... the downpayment helped.

Have you talked to Cody up at CAT USA?

I am currently working with him on an engine for my Superlight R, and we discussed the CSR -- they are working on the Duratec engines right now and plan to import the CSR's sometime late next year IIRC. Good luck with the pricing

I've got three right now but since two of them are for sale that number may change. Here is the M100 Elan:
