Oh yea

Just so that I mentioned it: I drove a lot more carefully than I would have done if I were alone in the car...

Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Track Lap Times | User Submitted Lap Times

I built a site that allows you to submit your laptimes for various tracks. It's primarily West coast tracks right now, but continue to add tracks as requests are made and as I get around to not being completely lazy.

Anyways, some of the features of the site are:
- Configuration based lap time tracking (ie. BW13 CW vs BW13 CCW lap time lists)
- Filtering/Sorting. You can filter only GTRs... or sort by HP
- Tires, HP, Race weight in main list for easier comparison
- Modification list
- Video linking... you can upload a link of lap you ran to share
- Store your personal best laps at various tracks
- See other user's best laps at various tracks

You have to register with the site, create a garage, then navigate to the track and layout to submit a time.

Some examples:
Laguna Seca

Chuckwalla

Feedback is welcomed! I built it for a group of us track rats, thought others could benefit as well...

I took my girlfriend to the tracks the other day and at first she was bummed out that she didnt get to drive but after a few laps she was quite happy to just ride instead of drive. She filmed a little bit from the depot as I was driving alone too and I edited it into a short movie.

This is first post here and it was only third time driving on track but stoked to do it more and just had a nightmare installing 4-point harness (because the little girl was getting thrown around way more than I want her to).

If you get annoyed with the cut in and out of the car this video is better for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1QwtDjOplY

And if you are curious as how horrible it can be to ride using only stock seat belts and not tall enough to reach the floor it looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhffK0SK8_w

Cool! That is some good racing! Open wheel really makes people respect position.

FYI: VIR's Blacktop!

The new blacktop is amazing. It grips like an industrial strength Velcro but it loves rubber. I had to get a new set of tires....

Sunday at High Plains Raceway. Passing limited to the straights. Got passed by the new McLaren 650S, who promptly caught up to traffic.

Waterford Hills, June 13 with Porsche club. First three laps of third session on Toyo 888s -- old fronts, new rears. Not trying very hard as grass was wet from intermittent rain and motor running rich for some reason. Lined up first to get a few clear laps in.

This was an event with LOONY (Lotus Owners of NY)...I was running a new set of R6 and it was taking a bit of time to get them hot. Not many cars in advance group so it was hard to find someone to chase....
